Scope of Service Experience
Currently Executive Managing Director, Mr. Simon joined NAI Global's New York City office in early 2007 as Senior Managing Director and has over 28 years of experience in the New York market, assisting both office tenants and landlords. In particular, Mr. Simon has assisted over 25 international banks in the New York market in dealing with projects related to their occupancy, many of these clients having retained him for multiple transactions over a period of many years. Differentiating Mr. Simon from many of his competitors has been his level of involvement in all areas of these projects, including assisting the clients in the selection of all consultants required for a particular assignment (i.e. architectural, engineering, project management/construction), and acting in a supervisory role throughout these projects to keep the different elements of the project moving smoothly together.
Education
B.S. Tufts University, 1979
Background & Experience
Mr. Simon began his career at Herbert Charles & Co. in 1980, and then spent most of the balance of the '80's at Jones Lang Wootton USA. In addition to representing many international financial institutions, Mr. Simon was also part of the team representing Bristol Myers in the headquarters lease renewal at 345 Park Avenue for 840,000 square feet. While at JLW, Mr. Simon also acted as the leasing agent for HRO International at Tower 56 and for London & Leeds at Manhattan Tower.

For most of the 1990's, Mr. Simon worked at The Galbreath Company where he was responsible for overseeing the leasing, management and physical upgrading of both 1180 Avenue of the Americas and 44 Wall Street for New York Life Insurance Company. 1180 underwent an extensive three-year improvement program that included a new central-plant HVAC (with cooling tower and fan), mechanical and cosmetic upgrades to the elevators, improved fire/life safety and security systems, a new emergency generator, sprinklerization, the installation of new windows and the renovation and refurbishment of the public corridors.

During 1997, Simon leased 141,000 square feet in 1180 (40% of the building) to bring the occupancy level to 87%. That same year, Mr. Simon also sold 44 Wall Street ( 295,000 square feet and 35% occupied) for New York Life, to CS First Boston for$23.6M.

Most recently, Mr. Simon was at Colliers ABR, where he represented i-flex solutions in a multi-state search for a U.S. headquarters location, which resulted in a 50,000 square foot lease in Metropark, New Jersey.
